Secondary school prizes:
- First prize for “Prematuritat extrema: on són els límits ètics de la viabilitat?“ by Blanca González from Institut Guillem de Berguedà de Berga.
- Second prize for “L'ètica de la vida: El CEA de la Vall d'Hebron“ by Alba Fernández from Escola Pia Balmes de Barcelona.
- Third prize for “Ètica i investigació animal: L’especisme és inevitable?“ by Daniela Gil from Institut Ramon Muntaner de Figueres.
Audiovisual Award:
A total of 42 scholarship applications, 161 audiovisual projects and 17 secondary school projects were received. The jury extends its gratitude to all those who submitted projects and warmly invites them to join future editions.
On 11 and 12 March, in collaboration with the Americana Film Fest and the Catalonian Department of Education, we have organised two morning film screenings and discussions for secondary school students with Midnight Family.
The Ochoa family is made up almost entirely of paramedics who fight daily to be the first to respond to calls from patients who need medical assistance after suffering an accident in Mexico City.
In a city where the government has only 45 ambulances for a population of more than 9 million, the family's work is essential, even though they receive no help or recognition from the state.
